Brian Easton Due For £600k Deal

Hamilton left back Brian Easton is due to get his wishes granted by Hamilton after that have reportedly agreed on a £600k deal with Burnley for the Scotland Under 21 left back.

Easton express his desire to join the clarets last week explaining how the Premier league was just too big a carrot to turn down.

“It’s every player’s dream to play at the top level, and it doesn’t get any bigger than the [Premier League],” Easton explained to The Daily Record.

Easton will not find life easy at Turf Moor he will have to compete with the SPL’s former No1 Left back Christian Kalvenes and former Manchester City Man Stephen Jordan who improved last season putting in some excellent performance in the clarets Capital punishment (Carling Cup) Run to the semi finals.

Alex MacDonald Joins Falkirk

Burnley’s young Scottish Under 19 striker Alex MacDonald has joined Falkirk on loan until the January Transfer Window. A move reminiscentof Jay Rodriguez who joined Sterling Albion in Coyles First Season in Charge.

Rodriguez Returned with much needed first team experience under his belt which is exactly what young Alex Macdonald needs if he is to progress in his football career. It wouldn’t be fair to him being behind the likes of experienced strikers such as new signing Steven Fetcher, Steve Thompson, Martin Paterson and Rodriguez.

Fans will remember when Alex Macdonald first came on the scene in the Burnley first team squad . Owen Coyle was so impressed and could see such potential he worked alongside him personally and even stared upfront in the reserves with Macdonald helping to mould the young strikers talents.

Burnleys Premiership Transfer Targets

Burnley have captured three players already this season in Tyrone Mears, Edgar and Steven Fletcher from hibs for a club record fee. The transfer rumours are continuing to circulate around Turf Moor and Owen Coyle has refused to rule out further purchases.

Operations Director Brendan Flood has already confirmed they would like to bring in up to 7 players but that may contain some loan signings. The players being linked are Hearts Andrew Driver, Mccarthy and Easton from Hamilton.

Plus Sheffield Wednesdays want away striker Marcus Tudgay who has rejected a new 3 year deal with the owls. It has been stated by Tudgays agent that he would like to talk to the premiership new boys.

It is all shaping up well for the clarets and they will be playing there first pre season fixture against Bradford at Valley Parade this Saturday the 10th July.
