Valley Parade was the scene and if anywhere in the country can act as inspiration for the clarets to retain there Premiership status then this is the arena. A half completed stadium one stand wouldn’t look out of place in non league then the other on a par with Elland road for size.

It was a tale of two Burnley sides the one in the first half and the one in the second. It was nice to see new signing Tyrone Mears, Steven Fletcher and David Edgar in the Second half. It was also nice to see Dutch Midfielder Remco Van Der Schaaf given a run out in the second half and he almost set up a goal for young Jay Rodriguez.

All in all it was a typical pre season encounter nothing to play for bar fitness and the result reflected that a 2- 1 win to Bradford. Burnley opened the scoring with a placement from veteran Graham Alexander. A Bright point was the linking up between new striker Steven Fletcher and Martin Paterson they linked up well and this will bode will for the Premiership.
