Burnley’s young Scottish Under 19 striker Alex MacDonald has joined Falkirk on loan until the January Transfer Window. A move reminiscentof Jay Rodriguez who joined Sterling Albion in Coyles First Season in Charge.

Rodriguez Returned with much needed first team experience under his belt which is exactly what young Alex Macdonald needs if he is to progress in his football career. It wouldn’t be fair to him being behind the likes of experienced strikers such as new signing Steven Fetcher, Steve Thompson, Martin Paterson and Rodriguez.

Fans will remember when Alex Macdonald first came on the scene in the Burnley first team squad . Owen Coyle was so impressed and could see such potential he worked alongside him personally and even stared upfront in the reserves with Macdonald helping to mould the young strikers talents.
